Our church held a Thanksgiving Day dinner at the local Senior Living complex. Church members made the food, and residents from the complex attended. Pastor Hollis Steward helped wherever needed. Kathy Stewart brined and cooked two turkeys. Crista made mashed potatoes. Tammy made her secret recipe sweet potatoes. "Butter, cream, brown sugar, maple syrup..." she hinted.. Kimberly made a green salad. Joanna made stuffing/dressing and gravy. Other dishes included the traditional green bean casserole and a creamy fruit salad. There was plenty left over to take home. On September 13, 2026 , Our church held another baptism at Dover Beach, and we experienced a small miracle at that time. It was raining that morning. When we got to the beach the rain had stopped. Then, from the first baptism to the last, The sun shone brightly on the people being baptized, disappearing when the last baptism was over. It was like a message of approval from God .Then, we drove to the church building and enjoyed hot dogs, potato chips, drinks and cake, chatting and enjoying each other's company for about two hours. It was a wonderful, amazing, rewarding day! In the last four years, our little church has baptized 20 people.
Once a week, church members visit Lakeside Assisted Living, to chat, play games, socialize with residents, and to witness Jesus Christ to those attending.
Sixth Street Seniors have a vegetable garden. Our church donated a wheelbarrow to aid in their gardening efforts.
We all love our new van, inside and out!
